Claims may be assigned to both internal and external Adjusters and Appraisers
Assigning a claim to an Claim Adjuster

You may always assign a claim to an Claim Adjuster. These individuals are always a part of your company and must have a login to AdjustRite before you can assign a claim to them. The claim is assigned to them in one of two ways and their name will display on appropriate reports as the Adjuster for the Claim. Either method of assigning the claim to an Claim Adjuster is interchangeable and changing the adjuster in one place will automatically change it in the other.
- Claims may be assigned to an Claim Adjuster from the Claim Information tab of the Claim Assignment screen. Click on the Search button beside the Claim Adjuster box and select the adjuster from the list of AdjustRite users in your company. You may clear this assignment or select another Claim Adjuster at any time.
- Claims may be assigned to an Claim Adjuster from the Home screen by clicking on the Claim Adjuster link and then selecting the adjuster from the list of AdjustRite users on the system.
Assigning a claim to an Independent Adjuster

You may assign any claim to an Independent Adjuster. There are three types of Independent Adjusters.
- You can enter Name, Address and phone information for an independent adjuster which only pertains to the individual claim. You will always retain this information for this claim, but can not automatically select this company to adjust another claim.
- You can enter data for Independent Adjusters and then assign them to a claim by clicking on the Select Existing Independent Adjuster link on the Independent Adjuster screen. You either add these companies using the Maintenance menu or by clicking on the "Add to Independent Adjuster List" check box on the Independent Adjuster screen before clicking on the Save button.
- You can select one of the Adjustrite™ Pro Independent Adjusters. These companies are registered to use AdjustRite. The administrator for your company can select which AdjustRite companies your office may assign claims to and those companies will be available when you click on the Select Adjustrite™ Pro Independent Adjuster link on the Independent Adjuster screen.
When a claim is assigned to an AdjustRite Pro adjuster they will be granted access to appropriate claim data so that they may adjust the claim for you. This can greatly simplify the administration of your claims.
Assigning a claim to a Staff Appraiser

You may always assign a claim to an Staff Appraiser. These individuals are always a part of your company and must have a login to AdjustRite before you can assign them to prepare the estimate for a claim. The claim is assigned to them in one of two ways and their name will display on appropriate reports as the Appraiser for the estimate. Either method of assigning the claim to an Staff Appraisers interchangeable and changing the adjuster in one place will automatically change it in the other.
- Claims may be assigned to an Staff Appraiser from the Claim Information tab of the Claim Assignment screen. Click on the Search button beside the Staff Appraiser box and select the appraiser from the list of AdjustRite users in your company. You may clear this assignment or select another staff appraiser at any time.
- Claims may be assigned to an Staff Appraiser from the Home screen by clicking on the Staff Appraiser link and then selecting the appraiser from the list of AdjustRite users on the system.
Assigning a claim to an Repair Facility

You may assign any claim to a Repair Facility. There are three types of Repair Facilities.
- You can enter Name, Address and phone information for a Repair Facility which only pertains to the individual claim. You will always retain this information for this claim, but can not automatically select this shop to prepare the appraisal for another claim.
- You can enter data for Repair Facilities and then assign them to a claim by clicking on the Select Existing Repair Facility link on the Repair Facility screen. You either add these companies using the Maintenance menu or by clicking on the "Add to Independent Adjuster List" check box on the Repair Facility screen before clicking on the Save button.
- You can select one of the Adjustrite™ Pro Preferred Shops. These repair facilities are registered to use AdjustRite. The administrator for your company can select which AdjustRite Preferred Shops your office may assign claims to and those companies will be available when you click on the Select Preferred Shop link on the Preferred Shop screen.
When a claim is assigned to an Preferred Shop they will be granted access to appropriate claim data so that they may create an estimate appraisal for the claim. This can greatly simplify the process of obtaining estimates for claims.
